Loss of gas in your insulated windows
Contrary to popular belief, more than 90% of insulated glass never came with gas to insulate the window, unless NOVOCLIMAT was marked on the window.
Also, in certain cases where there was self-construction and the owner voluntarily chose to install insulated windows with "low-e/argon" (a gas) which is used to stabilize the pressure between the insulated panes.
Argon gas is lighter than air and disappears after 2 or 3 years of existence in the insulated window.
Note: It is absolutely impossible to replace Argon gas after the window has been installed (fogged). The addition of Argon gas is only done in the factory during the manufacturing of insulated glass.
